Allison Brennan"None of my accomplishments would have been possible without the help of Josh Ortegon from Athletes Arena. Josh, and the staff at Athletes Arena, have designed a special workout for me to enhance my strength while still maintaining my flexibility and proper posture. No other US diver is receiving this sort of specialized training and I feel that it will give me the edge over the other divers going into the 2012 Olympic Games. I am stronger, quicker, and more flexible because of this specialized workout and would like to thank and attribute part of my success to Josh and Athletes Arena. All your help and dedication to me and my particular sport is much appreciated. I know that any and all athletes that walk into Athletes Arena will be given the same respect, hard work, and dedication that I continue to receive from Josh and the staff at Athletes Arena. Thank you. "

Getting Fit For Your SportEvery sport has specific demands that it puts on our body. Whether your sport is a speed and power dominant sport (most sports) or you are an endurance athlete, it is important to understand these demands when attempting to condition your body. Common mistakes in sports conditioning are overtraining aerobic endurance, which will diminish many of the strength and power gains achieved in the off-season, as well as attempting to maintain conditioning levels for too long. Without getting into a discussion of bioenergetics, I will attempt to address many mistakes that occur when training to be "in shape" for your sport.

Justin AndersonJustin Anderson, Blythewood High defensive end, was recently featured in The State's Midlands Preps article "Tough, not invincible: Blythewood DE rebounds from losses in first two games to be leader of team."  Justin also recently made the 2008 SC Shrine Bowl!

Congratulations, Justin!
